Fundraising
Greetings! Fundraising is an essential part of my YAGM year. It costs approximately $15,000 to support my mission for the year. Really, as this amount includes my airfare, living accommodations, food, and more, this is a modest amount to live on for a year. However, the intention is that YAGM volunteers live simply throughout that year.
The ELCA graciously funds a portion of this $15,000. However, YAGMs are tasked with raising the rest of the $15,000 to support their year abroad. It is my personal goal to raise $8,000 toward my year in Senegal.
I would like to thank each an every one of you for the investments you have made in my experience as a YAGM, whether they be through financial donations, prayers and well-wishes, or the curiosity to check out my blog, fundraising page, and experience in general. I appreciate that I can share this experience with you, and hope that you may learn from it as well.
